Papa Jose's Union Cafe - Pueblo

I can't believe I’ve never visited this restaurant before! The prices were reasonable, the food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was really fun. The service exceeded what you typically find in most Pueblos. I ordered the taco lunch special, and it came with generous portions and delicious flavors. Just a heads up, though: there's a potential risk of encountering used needles and the presence of homeless individuals in the city center.

Incredible foods at excellent prices. Takeout came the minute I asked, and they threw in plastic goods. In particular, I thought the posole was amazing. The a la carte tacos were packed with meat, and the Tamale were excellent. Green Chile sauce is mild, medium or hot - and I felt the hot variety was excellent without overwhelming. They offer Maistortilla options for everything I asked, which is good for taking gluten-free people. I'm definitely back!

This was my fourth visit, and once again, I had an amazing experience. The food is fantastic, and the staff is incredibly courteous and friendly. I’ll definitely be back soon!

We absolutely love Papa Jose's! The food is consistently hot and fresh, and we've never had a bad meal there. We really missed it when they were closed for three months during their reorganization. We were so happy when they finally reopened! My husband enjoys the chicken chimichanga dinner with milk green chili, while I prefer the combo plate featuring a ground beef burrito, cheese enchilada, and hard taco. I can't get enough of the medium green chili—it's so good that I always bring the enchilada home for lunch the next day. Yum! The service is always excellent, even when they're super busy. We make it a point to visit about once a month.

Okay, I'm back to really liking this restaurant. I hadn't been back in a while after a bad experience with some of the staff(some rude women). I don't know if they knew we could hear them talking smack about us in the kitchen or didn't care, but I was so embarrassed I just wanted to leave right then. I finally came back and it's good to see they're gone. There is much friendlier staff now. The food has always been pretty good! Edit: I went recently after it reopened and added a . Stayed true to taste!
