Casa Marina Beach Resort - Puerto Plata

The resort is beautiful. The maintenance staff very friendly and good service. The room I stayed was not what I thought I will be. No furniture for storage of clothes. Not so good of a filling even if it was for four days. At reception area a very rude employee, don't want to mention her name. Also I had to pay ten us dollars for wifi for three days. A wifi that was not secure and slow or didn't work at all. To make matters worse you can only have one unit for the service. Totally not something a resort like this should do to some one that is paying for the stay there. Management should look very carefully at the young lady with a bad attitude. Same person that check me out today. To me it was a pleasure to meet Rumberto, Management. Didn't want to couse a harm to this young lady. But again on check out she was very rude!!!

Well . This is my first time in a resort ever. The customer service is awesome . The place is clean . Beautiful view. The food is good the restaurant Herman International is something. Out this world . Amazing . . The people from the select Cooe are amazing. The jacuzzi and the pool is wonderful . The only reason I get a 3 star is because once I got my room, there was not water at all and the internet is really bad and people smoking everywhere in the main resolt .

My family and I recently stayed at Casa Marina Beech and Reef. It was very nice. The service was very good, the wait staff was attentive in the restaurants and the buffet. I'd say the buffet is typical of what you would find in an AI at this price point. We found something to enjoy at each meal. The room was clean and the housekeeping staff was very good. The grounds are nicely maintained and there was always a spot at the pools or beach. The bar staff was very friendly and accommodating as well. Shout out to Hugo! The only concern we had was a slow shower drain, it was promptly addressed when brought to the attention of the management. If you are looking for an option in Sosua, this is a great spot.

April 2022: this hotel is very nice and is in a great location for walking and night life. The staff was great. The rooms were clean and the property well maintained. The only issues I had during my stay was the first night we had hot shower water. The other 5 days the water was cold. And they don’t provide wash clothes. Called the reception to have it fixed. Never came. Had to bathe with the bathroom sink water after waiting about 10 minutes for that to get hot. The second issue I have is the 3 jacuzzis were freezing and the sign says adults only but kids were in them along with the other side of the property jacuzzis was hot for the “select/premium” guests. Another problem was when making dinner reservations we were told on the second night there wasn’t anymore space. So how do u accommodate for the amount of guest staying and can’t feed them at an all inclusive resort? The food was very basic. I would have preferred typical Dominican meal options instead of American/Mexican/Italian meals. Overall the stay was alright.

The place it's ok, very good for surfing. The only problem is that the rooms quality is very poor, no fridge, no coffee maker, did not have hot water for 2 days, the air-conditioning was not working it took 3 days for they try to fix it, my valcony view was the back of the buffet kitchen... when they offer to move us to another room it was very far from my son's room and I said no because only my husband and I was going to be transfer and the room was very tiny and far from all amenities... The people who work there tho have an excellent costumer service and the entertainers where very friendly!!! But sad for the room quality and not to much of variation on the food.
