The BEST local food we've eaten so far in our 10 days in Palawan. Honest, authentic Filipino food. Restaurant is clean, service speedy and good as is everywhere in the Philippines. Garlic rice and pork sisig was delicious, pork sinigang was super generous with the ingredients. Highly recommended! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
A very beautiful place for everyone whose love to dine-in and relax.
I decided to try this restaurant for our first experience with Filipino cuisine in Puerto Princesa based on the reviews and photos. Unfortunately, they were misleading. The restaurant did not meet our expectations, especially for my Filipino mother. We ordered ox tail kare, chicken adobo, pork with bitter melon, stir-fried vegetables, and steamed rice. We were most looking forward to trying the kare kare, but the shrimp paste that enhances the flavor was bland and unpleasant tasting. Not sure why they served it that way, maybe they think it tastes good or no one has complained before? I'm allergic to it, but my family agreed it was off, so we had to ask for fish sauce instead. There wasn't much meat in the dishes, making it difficult to share among 5 adults and a child. The portions were decent, but we couldn't finish all the vegetable dishes. The bitter melon dish had too much liquid in it according to my mom. The adobo was tasty, probably the best dish along with the stir-fried vegetables. I can't even remember what drinks we had. The food was okay, not as great as other reviewers claimed, so we won't be going back. Service was okay, dinner was served, food rating 2, service 3, atmosphere 3. Recommended dishes: Chicken Adobo, Kare Kare Oxtail.
