Each course had promises of brilliance but in execution or lack of supervision ultimately disappointed. Drinks were $15US, and the quality did not warrant the price. My negroni had some charred something in a strip in it, on my last sip, I got a piece of plastic wrap the same size as the strip. The wine list was well curated, with a variety of classic and local offerings. The catch of the day was cooked to perfection but was paired with greens dressed only in oil. My companion enjoyed his salad. The enchilada 's pork cheek was succulent and unctuous and crispy in all the right places, the tortilla on top was stale-crispy, not toasted crispy, and the pipian sauce was insipid. Halfway through an unpopped popcorn kernel was a bit of a shock. The cheesecake that isn 't was not a mousse either, the little cakes in the box were nearly flavorless and the pannacotta-reminiscent bowl had a blue cheese tang that was challenging to enjoy. I need to say that the plating was always gorgeous and innovative, if only the flavors had been as well developed. We eat at Michelin star restaurants on occasion and enjoy fine dining, but this is sadly neither. In the end we wished we had saved the money for taco stands.
My husband and I along with our two children, ages 21 and 25 dined here on our last night in PV. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. We opted to order off the menu versus doing the tasting menu as we had enjoyed a later lunch. Our food came out at random times, the service was very lacking and the taste was just not there for me. We love to dine at nice restaurants and this one did not hit the mark for us at all. It felt like they are trying to do something special but it is not properly executed. We ended up waiting for so long that we had them box up the remainder of our meal and headed back to our condo. I know that many people love this place so maybe we were there on an off night, but we will not be returning.
Carlos and ?)Derek were our servers and they were very attentive and friendly. The food on the tasting menu was amazing. The flavors built upon each other and each dish got better and better. The flavors were unique and smooth. They were very thoughtful in their plating and it all looked so beautiful. Their card machine broke down but they were very accommodating. We appreciate them for giving us a great dining experience. We really liked the Huitlacoche quesadilla it was so yummy. 10/10 would come back for another special day.
Amazing menu and creative drinks lovely terrace and attentive service. We dined here on a Sunday evening, celebrating our anniversary. The menu offerings were varied, and portions were generous. We loved the corn and truffle warm starter, as well as the foie gras that arrived encased in a delicate white chocolate shell. Our main course was the prime rib eye steak, and it was perfectly prepared, and delicious. The only negative and certainly not the direct fault of the restaurant was the group of eight American 30 somethings (four men and two women) seated near us. They were loud and crude in their conversation, dressed in worn t shirts, shorts and ball caps, and had the table manners of adolescent chimps. Unfortunately it was nearly impossible to tune them out. We noticed other diners appeared to be as bothered by them as we were.
Es pésimo el servicio. Fuimos para cena y en la entrada nos preguntaron si íbamos para cena!!! Imagínense, ......no!!!! Mejor no vayas!! No hagas corajes!! Es notorio q es el restaurante del clásico niño rico que papi le regaló un restaurante y que no sabe lo que está pasando. O es lavadero????? Abra q checar.....
