So don't expect perfect ambiance, comfortable chair or perfect service. But concentrate on food and you will enjoy<br/ mutton is extremely tender and seems like cooked for a long time. Unfortunately it's not same in most restaurants<br/ the rassa in both thali is excellent. It's also served with biryani.<br/ options to choose from jawari, bajri or wheat chapati. All of them thin and well cooked<br/ biryani is good enough but not great<br/ malai dahi is like bengali misti doi. Sweet and really Chunky dahi set in plastic cups
I am a regular patron for this restaurant past 11 years when it was operating in very small place at Nagar road. <br/ <br/ Been here many times. Must appreciate consistency, food quality and courtesy. <br/ <br/ My favourite dishes Mutton fry, chicken fry , alani dishes and bhakri. <br/ <br/ Ambiance not that great but okey considering cuisine<br/ <br/ Service top notch <br/ <br/ Quality best <br/ <br/ Overall awesome place.
Popular for its very spicy non vegetarian and typically Marathi food, I had tried a Veg thali here.<br/ <br/ The restaurant is a normal place having a huge area of seating. They have enough parking outside.<br/ <br/ Veg Thali:<br/ Jowar Bhakhari A nice Bhakhari made of Jowar and a bit hard. But awesome to taste.<br/ Pithalda The yellow innocent looking paste is probably one of the most spiciest item on the plate. Its made up of besan, chilli and onions and tastes too spicy.<br/ Choldi This is the main liquidy curry which has beans in it and this is spicy as well. The liquid is popularly called as rassa.<br/ Dal.<br/ <br/ The thali is served with onions, thecha and a papad.<br/ <br/ The rassa is unlimited and so is Bhakhari. You can opt for roti too, if you do not want Bhakhari.<br/ <br/ They serve rice as well, which is a bit sticky but good to taste.<br/ <br/ We had tried sol kadhi as well which is probably a buttermilk, but with a little variance and color.<br/ <br/ Overall, if you are a fan of really spicy dishes then this is the place that you must definitely try.<br/ <br/ Probably it was the first time in my life, tears were rolling down my cheeks during the entire course of meal but i was enjoying it!!
THE BEST PLACE FOR A SPICY NON VEGETARIAN MEAL IN PUNE! , I mean, whenever I crave spicy food, Kaveri is the first hotel I remember, I have been attached to Kaveri since my childhood, they're mutton thali is one of the best things you can have there, I just wish that they also start serving unlimited pieces of the meat though :p, the ambience is spacious and nice, the food is insanely good and has a really spicy depth to it, the thecha and the curry are two of the most spiciest things available there, may I suggest a chaach or a sol kadhi to go along with your meal? Their mutton fry is also a really good dish and their soup, their mutton soup, by far one of the best soups I've ever eaten! They have kulfi and ice creams too in case you can't handle the heat. And overall it's a very nice place to eat at! Especially with your family or squad, they don't serve alcohol here and have an ample big space for parking vehicles and also this place is jam packed on the weekends! :
We went there on a weekday to get a quick early dinner and omg it was awesome...<br/ <br/ A legendary place serving Kolhapuri mutton and Chicken thalis......<br/ <br/ We ordered Mutton Fry and Kaleji Fry for our starters and it was killer, evenly spiced and packed with flavours goes well with a spicy garlic chutney which they serve along with some jowari bhakris and chapatis...<br/ <br/ We ordered the VIP Mutton Thali and the Regular Mutton Thali, the portion size is pretty decent and they serve you unlimited Rassa which was finger licking good..<br/ <br/ All the thalis come with an option of either chapati or bhakris and indryani rice (again unlimited)....<br/ <br/ Service was good and prompt....<br/ <br/ Definitely a place to visit if you want to try authentic Kolhapuri Thali<br/
