Nino's Bakery - Punta Gorda

Always enjoy this bakery. A wide selection of pastries and cookies. I'm sorry it's temp close to the hurricane. I can't wait to come back here. God's speed!

Today stopped buying pastries. This was our first time at Ninos. Had heard such wonderful things that they were wrong. When we entered, I saw a female employee with long brown hair pulled into a pony dick that texted on her phone and took a few minutes to recognize us and everything she remained, she said she wanted to go home. We asked for an apple cake that was then pulled from the side, the refrigerator is not the display case. Then she called another young female employee from behind to ring us while fighting the cake. $16.00 for a DRY CRUMBLED CRUST PIE that he and TASTED OLD. I'm not a baker, but I'm sure I could have done better. We won't be back. UPDATE... I appreciate your quick and sincere response to my review very much. Unfortunately we lived in PA and visited family when we stopped. Thanks again.

Had a 20-in pizza that was brilliant. I had pizza in every local pizzeria and Nino brings her to shame. Entertainment Bobby and Doreen do a wonderful job. Great pizza and diddo on entertainment. Your bread and bakery will take you back to Jersey and New York. You must try it, especially thoes Italian pastries, O yea! .

I was so excited to bring my aunts here today to prove even in Florida we have the best itailian pastry. This is my second time in there and it took me a minute to look at all the goodies. There was one other customer and she was taking her time as well. So not busy at all. The attitude from 2 of 3 of the employees was ridiculous. As if having to serve customers was interrupting their day. They were beyond rude. My aunt had to step outside, because of how rude they were being and even my husband was like wow I have never been to a place that was just rude for no reason. At this point if this establishment treats their customers like this, I will never return. There were 3 staff in there. There was no excuse for they way they treated the customers in there today at 1:30pm. Absolutely none.

I found this hidden gem in January 2022. Since then I have been there 3 times. When I pick up friends and family from the airport, we head over to eat. My favorite is the Stromboli, it is stuffed full of meaty, cheesy goodness and the Calzone explodes with cheese?. the best I have had since living in New York! In the bakery my favorite is the lintzer cookies amply filled with raspberry filling.
