El Shrimp Shack - Puntarenas

5 stars to give is not enough! This place is an absolute jewel that we only discovered yesterday in Costa Rica. It is safe to say that this was the best meal we had in Costa Rica during our 15 days. Not only is it very affordable, but the staff is very friendly and the quality of the food is incredible. It is really regrettable to see this kind of business affected by COVID because it should be in full capacity every night. We had the shrimps Sampi, the Thai shrimps, the shrimps with passion fruit sauce and the carrot cake. Let me say that there are no links about!!!

Hidden jewel safe. To start the staff and the cook was super friendly. We went to a really nice live music and the ambience was beautiful. The food was delicious as we had the Cajun salad, the Garnelenburgers and Flameados Al-Munze. Everything super good and highly recommended! We were so filled and unfortunately not room for dessert, but it looked really nice. The cook came over again and again to check us what was nice. He also gave us drinks at the end, which was unexpected, but really nice! A great way to spend our last night in Costa Rica.

I can't even describe how good the food is here!! It is a hidden small place near one of the Hilton hotels. The staff was all so nice and attentive and so great dishes recommended. The Strawberry mix Mojito is a must! The Popcorn Shrimp Sandwich is 10/10. The steak is also a 10/10. Another great place to enjoy the sunset, not too much of a look at the actual sunset, but still a must! The Calamari also really good and fresh.

Very nice restaurant! Everything was A including the location, personalized service, decor and amazing food. I loved absolute attention to every detail. No pictures can do this restaurant justice. Make yourself a big favor when in Costa Rica and visit El Shrimp Shack. The name lies at this beauty of a place. That's not a joke!

This is the best shrimp place ever. My wife ordered a shrimp dish and I ordered fresh fish. It tasted amazing! We also ordered fresh juice made with mint and pineapple. It tastes so fresh. We love it! It is the second best restaurant in Costa Rico, because we can’t find the first.
