Long John’s - Purbeck

I spent £10 on a small portion of fish and chips at this restaurant, which I found to be quite expensive for just average quality. There are three other places nearby where I prefer to get my fish and chips over Long Johns. It was disappointing that there was no salt and vinegar available, and the staff seemed disinterested. The taste was not terrible, but definitely not as good as other places I have tried. Essentially, I felt like I was paying a high price for a mediocre product.

While staying at Sandford Holiday Park, we were pleased to find this fish bar only a 10-minute drive away. We decided to try their fish supper and were not disappointed. The fish was freshly cooked and the staff were friendly. We highly recommend this establishment to others in a similar situation.

The food was fantastic and the service was top-notch! We placed a large order over the phone, and it was ready in no time. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed their meals, whether it was the fish and chips, battered sausage, or chicken burgers. The staff was incredibly friendly as well. I would highly recommend this place!

This is our local chippy but haven 't been for a while. The fish was tasty but the chips were terrible. The portions have got smaller. Half were rock hard 'end bits ' and inedible.

'Classic ' fish and chips. Very friendly staff. Generous cheesy chips and lunchtime sausage special. Would recommend to tourists wanting the full chip shop experience.
