The Bavarian Manor - Purling

Upon arrival no staff, no bar or restaurant. It was said we got keys. Every door in the square was open. The room had no lock. Mouse fall in the room found. We went immediately and didn't stay. Perhaps there are some changes and will develop better, but not now. Rooms: 1/5

Old world atmosphere in the Northern Catskills combine with the best schnitzel, pork chop and wurst dishes anywhere. There are many trails through the woods and around the private lake. The wrap around porch is the perfect place to sit and relax. They have been doing it right for 150 years.Food: 5/5

My wife and I had a great stay here. Bed was perfect, the fire pit with a wine bottle and hot fire was very relaxing. Fished down at the lake, complementary breakfast was perfect. Best blueberry pancakes I’ve ever had. Classic Catskills getaway. Will be back soon.

Lovely place..historic, charming, and so peaceful. The owners and staff couldn’t be nicer- I felt like I was visiting friends. The breakfast was delicious and the dining room warm and inviting. I look forward to my next visit!

Very good breakfast. Nice staff. Room is smaller than expected.
