The Hanger Inn - Puyallup

Great location for Kids!. It's a huge treat for the kids to come to the Hangar Inn. For obvious reasons (being up close and personal with small airplanes while eating chocolate chip pancakes). We've only been twice (Sundays) during the breakfast, almost lunch hour so we miss the super busy breakfast crowd and have both times been seated right away. There was a really large group that was just done eating in the larger back area so the waitstaff seemed rushed, however were super friendly and came to take our order straightaway. My hubby did however have to stand up twice to re-fill his coffee cup (after watching another person get up to do it). He'd never think about doing this at any other place, but the Hangar Inn is cozy enough where im sure the waiters and cooks know the regulars and this is considered ok to do. The menu is pretty impressive for some a small place and they offer just about everything you can imagine. They have great burger choices and really nicely seasoned french fries. Hubby had the Chicken Fried Steak and commented that it was decent but the plate it was served on was too small and his hash browns kept falling off. Kids love the chicken and fries too, they aren't too breaded like most establishments do kids chicken strips, with barely meat and all breading. The chocolate chip pancakes were a hit too. For parents its great that the kids meals are only 3.75!!!! It's fun to order, then go outside to let the kids watch the pilots get in the airplanes while your waiting for your food, especially smaller....get bored quickly, kids!I gave it less one star because the service was a tiny bit slow. The kids received their meals but the adults waited for what seemed to be like a super long time before our order came out.

They forgot my order and didn't give us food for 45 minute but the service was so fun and great we didn't even care haha food was great, a lot of food. Great view of planes and great interior design.

I landed at this airport to refuel my airplane. I walked into the Hanger inn and liked its environment. I felt quite welcomed. Had a meal, like the steak. Definitely worth to try.
