Hecho A Mano - Quarryville

We were driving through Quarryville this afternoon and saw a new Mexican restaurant had just opened. Since we like Mexican food we decided to give it a try. The place was nicely decorated and we were happy to see that they were spacing out the seating. However, the menus were not one use but laminated. We were promptly seated and brought a basket of nachos with 2 containers. One was red and the other green. We had to ask what they were as they were both equally tasteless. We were informed that one was guacamole and the other salsa. They were both the consistency of ketchup and completely pureeded. The nachos also were quite tasteless. The Mexican choices on the menu were limited and we considered leaving based on the nachos and salsa but decided to give it another chance. My husband ordered a steak burrito and I ordered the chicken. We were hoping they would be good since it took over 20 minutes to have them served. They were large and that is the kindest thing I can say. They were as tasteless as the appetizers. I am so sorry because we were hoping for them to have a good little restaurant.

Ordered the chorizo tacos and guacamole appetizer with salsa as well, and the food was DELICIOUS! The dips had a lot of flavor and the tacos were made and served authentically. The atmosphere inside is very welcoming, even for takeout. The staff is friendly and professional, a pleasure to do business with! After my favorite Mexican restaurant in the city closed, I'm happy to say I found a new favorite in the area! Definitely worth it to check out and bring the whole family to, as their menu has a great variety!

Fast, easy, delicious! not expensive at all!! Really nice to have something different for a change in the southern end of Lancaster County. I recommend to anyone looking for something different besides the same old pizza shops that seem to be everywhere around here.
