Quebec City is one of the nicest cities in North America. It has lots of history and beautiful sites to visit. The landmarks are endless as are the scenic views. The Dufferin Terrace is one place to take in the scenery of the Lawrence River. And the beauty of the Chateau Frontenac adds to the ambiance!
Central area for seeing Old Quebec. The Hotel Frontenac is right there bit also great views over the waterfront. When we were there it was fall and there were beautiful views of the autumn leaves on the adjacent shores.
If you're visiting Quebec this is one of the must go to places as it's part of the Old Port. It's a great boardwalk where you have the Chateau Frontenac on one side and on the other you have a great view of the St Lawrence River. The three days we were there, there was some street performances going on. There are also plenty of benches to just sit, sip on coffee and people watch if that's your thing.
We enjoyed walking along the river on the Terrace. Lots of picture taking opportunities and space to be had in a convenient, centrally located place! My only regret is not having time to do the historical tour of archaelogical architectural remains under the boardwalk!
