I recently visited Bistro B (for the first time), a charming establishment that offered a pleasant dining experience overall. While the ambiance and service were commendable, there were a couple of drawbacks regarding portion sizes and the use of wild salmon.Upon entering the restaurant, I was immediately struck by its inviting atmosphere. The cozy interior created a relaxed and enjoyable dining environment. The attention to detail in the decor, lighting, and overall ambiance contributed to a memorable and comfortable experience.Also, the service was prompt, friendly, and attentive. The staff members were knowledgeable about the menu and provided helpful recommendations, ensuring that every aspect of the dining experience was well taken care of. They were quick to address any requests or inquiries, further enhancing the overall satisfaction.While the quality of the food was undoubtedly impressive, the portion sizes left something to be desired. The dishes, including the salmon, were beautifully presented and boasted flavors that delighted the palate. However, the quantities seemed somewhat small compared to what one might expect, especially for those with heartier appetites or those seeking a more substantial meal.Additionally, it was disappointing to learn that the salmon used was not wild. For enthusiasts of wild-caught salmon, this may be a significant factor to consider. While the quality and taste of the salmon served were still good, the farmed salmon contain a colorant (Astaxanthin) that gives the reddish or pink hue.Despite these minor concerns, the restaurant provides a delightful dining experience overall. The ambiance and service contribute to a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere, allowing guests to relax and savor their meal. While the portion sizes might not suit everyone's preferences, the quality of the food and the skillful preparation are noteworthy.
This bistro is fantastic. The craftsmanship and dedication put into the food is evident. The menu changes frequently and each dish is delicious. François Blais is very knowledgeable. The staff is top-notch, friendly, and well-informed. The value for the quality of food is exceptional. They also have a great selection of drinks. Foodies will appreciate the open kitchen at the bar. The restaurant is modern and well-kept, with a clean atmosphere.
This restaurant was near our hotel. We had a very nice dinner here. We did not have a reservation but were seated anyway as it was early evening. The restaurant filled up during our time there. They have a limited menu which changes weekly(? ...not sure how often. You can watch the Chefs working in the open. Our waiter was attentive and pleasant.
I came here twice, tried their breakfast and dinner menu. For the price they are charging compare to restaurants at similar settings and price range, Bistro B still has some room to improve.Taste of food is average, casual but not exciting. The good things are that ingredients are very fresh, good atmosphere and service was exceptionally good.
