Everything was prefect last night. Highly recommend this
Behind an anassuming front La Cohue is a welcoming and elegant treat for weary travellers between Ontario and the Maritimes. Just a couple of blocks off the highway it's the perfect spot to take a rest, enjoy a glass of wine, friendly bilingual service, and some haute cuisine. And clearly it is also popular with locals as there were lots of folks doing the same thing as us at 2pm on a Wednesday! We wolfed down our delicious meals before thinking to take pictures but trust us, the presentation, textures, and flavours were outstanding. They happily made my pasta choice vegetarian, and Roch's entrecote steak was perfect. We may have forgotten to snap pictures of the food but we did get one of the happy and satisfied travellers!
Absolute joy!! That's my only way to describe the experience we had here. Here, the menu items are food creations. From the soup of the day, to dessert... all were amazingly awesome and great value for the cost. Checkout the pics for details.Marssil, our server, completed the experience. He exemplifies someone who loves food and what he does. His attentiveness and recommendations were great. We were a party of 3 with reservations, which I strongly recommend as the restaurant fills quickly after 6:00pm. It's a local favourite, and not much to see from the outside. Look for the yellow umbrellas!I highly recommend a visit if you're in the vicinity of Quebec City!
Nice and upscale but also a friendly atmosphere. Servers are genuinely nice and friendly. Food was perfect everything was done not only right but also with a touch of creativity. It was surprisingly the best restaurant I've experienced in my little two day getaway in Quebec City way better than a couple other restaurants I've been to around old Quebec City.Parking: In a strip mall, plenty of parkingKid friendliness: They have a kids menu
