Mikes - Québec

I ate breakfast at Mike's on 1100 Rue Ste Jean in the old town Best breakfast in the area.

After wanting Italian food on our vacation and reading the reviews on Yelp we were hesitant to dine here.

We were a little hungry when we sat down, but famished by the time the food came.

Arrived in QC late. All I wanted was a pizza. After searching the Internet only to find everything closed we decided to venture out. Walking down rue St-Jean we found Mikes was opened late...Saturday until 1am! Yeah! And they served pizza! Yeah! Had a small vegetarian pizza with thin crust! Yum! Hubby had Philly cheese steak sub (which I think should be left to Philly). And of course poutine! You can't come to Quebec without having poutine at least once! The server was very pleasant! Only giving 1 star because 0 isn't an option. We were handed menus and were seated quickly. The waitress told us she was working alone. We looked over the menu for 15 minutes with not so much as a napkin or fork on the table. Nobody came to see us after we were seated. Not even to bring a glass of water or ask if we needed anything. The waitress, however, was sitting down with some man who served himself a beer from the tap and she was having dinner. After 20 minutes of zero...and I mean literally no service. We got up to leave. Only THEN did the waitress get up from her seat and ask if we changed our minds (from halfway across the restaurant) we said there was nobody to serve us so we will eat somewhere else. She called after us that they were waiting for us to be ready. We went across the street to Les Freres De La Cote. You'll find an amazing review from us there!
