On the day of our reservation, I had to change the time since we were in Quebec City and decided to book a ghost tour for later that evening at 8:00 p.m. I called to change our reservation time to 5:00 instead of 6:30. When we arrived, it seemed like my previous communication about the reservation was lost, but we were still greeted. The food was a bit cold but tasty. The restaurant seemed to be run by the owner and two waitresses. The exterior of the restaurant didn't stand out much among the surrounding buildings. Bringing our own wine was a new and enjoyable experience for us. The owner took the time to explain the dishes, which added to the great experience. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends. We made it to the ghost tour on time, and it was a good idea to change our dinner reservation. I also noticed some reviews mentioning slow service, but it's important to note that a tagine should be used over low to medium heat to prevent damage. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed our experience at Le Tajine. Thank you!
The welcome was a bit chilly with no smile, but the food was excellent. I enjoyed a delicious lamb and plum tagine, and the couscous was perfectly fluffy. The baklava had a spicy kick, just like the lentil soup.
We were a group of about 50 people. Everyone was taking the same thing; Chicken tajine, lentil soup, a little baklava. The dinner started at 5:00 p.m. and the dessert was served at 9:00 p.m. Everything was very good but the service was an incredible slowness. We could have shipped the meal in less than 90 minutes. It took double. I hated it.
Had a wonderful evening at this beautiful Moroccan restaurant! The service was impeccable, the food was delicious - especially the lentil soup and lamb, which was perfectly cooked and melted in your mouth. The merguez and special tajine baklavas were also delightful. A friendly restaurant that is definitely worth discovering - don't miss out on it!
I wanted to love this restaurant because I love tajine meals, so that's why I was disappointed. It's been a long time since I wanted to try the menu. couscous was unfortunately fade, the vegetables were of poor quality. Let's just say that a little spice would not have done anything wrong. The lamb was perfectly cooked, it was detaching itself. but still there with the olives and the lemon confit, it was all lacking seasoning. The restaurant was totally empty, no matter what doubtful. So, I'm not going back to it, unfortunately.
