Busy location but service was fast. Plates have gotten smaller and so have the chickens. when I'd finished removing my dirty dishes...took priority over bringing my cheque. Whatever was amiss with the meal it went straight through me.
A very busy restaurant as so few others are nearby. Cuisine is average and variable (as we were caused to dine there nights in a row). Service is fast but more interested in getting you out and the next people in rather than making...you feel welcome, relaxed and that the experience was joyous. Sam was the best server we had. Staff serving in the bar area were brash and not as pleasant as those in the restaurant area.
We don't have these on the East Coast so we thought we would try this along the way of our road trip. We had half chicken dinners and it was great. I really liked the large portion of coleslaw you got with your meal. It...was like a side salad and I love coleslaw. The waitress was able to speak a little English and was very friendly. Great spot to eat.
From the outside, it looks like a fast food restaurant. Was much nicer inside. The hostess was very helpful in finding us menus in English. Service was slow but the waitress had a ton of tables and was doing her best. The food was good....We had chicken noodle soup, rotisserie chicken, the Bangkok salad and a club sandwich. All was good. Would go here again.
The new version of St. Hubert is more upscale than we remember from our time in Quebec. If you don't have kids with you, opt for the bar area for a quieter and more spacious dining experience. The food is consistently good, with familiar recipes that haven't changed much. However, the menu now offers a greater variety of options and a wide selection of wines by the glass. I chose the rotisserie chicken because it is a classic Quebec dish that brings back fond memories. My wife went with the quarter meal featuring white meat, but she still prefers Swiss Chalet (who recently acquired St. Hubert). Our server was a pleasant and bilingual young man who seated us promptly and attended to our needs efficiently. We were too full to indulge in dessert this time.
