We've visited this pub a few times for a drink while taking a leisurely stroll around Brighton. It’s a bit tucked away from the main road by the Steine, so we stumbled upon it by chance during our first visit—lucky us! The staff are fantastic and always friendly and chatty. The pub has been quite calm during our visits, which is nice, but on our next trip, we plan to enjoy what the theater has to offer. The restrooms are gender-neutral, but that's not an issue as they are very well cared for.
I've visited The Marly with friends several times to catch some of their shows, and it's always been a busy yet welcoming atmosphere. The staff are constantly on their feet and manage to stay polite even when the place is packed. The upstairs venue is a bit old-fashioned, but it serves its purpose; it can feel a bit cramped during the summer since the air conditioning isn’t the greatest. The restrooms are gender-neutral, and while they’re a bit dated, they’re kept clean and well-stocked with toilet paper. The food looks appealing, although I haven’t had the chance to try it myself. While it's a bit further from the main nightlife spots, located on the left as you approach the seafront/Pavilion, I see that as a positive aspect as it helps avoid some of the less desirable areas. I would gladly return to The Marly whenever I find myself in Brighton.
