Feedback gevenI don't know what these people here are complaining about. It's certainly hasn't been our experience. The chicken were juicy, skin was crispy, not greasy at all. They also give you alot of big pieces. Customer service was also very good.
I bought 5 pcs. chicken and side of rice. I just got off work so I was really tired and wasn't paying attention that much. After they hand me out my food, I saw the payment screen and the rice was ridiculously priced at $5.99. When I got home, the $5.99 rice platter was literally a regular small platter of rice, same size of the halal meal container that you can buy from the street vendors. I was so hungry and just decided to let it go. When I checked the box of chicken, I got 2 large pieces of breaded BONE with a little bit of meat, 2 decent size leg parts, and 1pc of tiny wing part. I understand that portion will not be all large pieces but I felt that I got ripped off. For $7.99, it's not worth it and if i'll be back, the reason will definitely be because I don't have a choice and I'll definitely ask for my money's worth. The 2 stars are for the staff tho, they're nice and friendly.
However, during my subsequent visits, I ordered the same spicy crispy chicken sandwich and fries, but I was disappointed to find that the quality had dropped significantly. The chicken sandwich I received was made with frozen patties, the kind you’d find in grocery store freezers, and it just wasn’t good. The fries also tasted as if they had been cooked in old oil. I ordered fried chicken for my kids, which was just okay, but the customer service was another letdown. Each time I went in, I felt completely ignored, sometimes waiting as long as 20 minutes without even being acknowledged, even when the restaurant was empty. Unfortunately, I don’t plan to return.
Worse service ever. I usually come here all the time after works. Today i came as usual and ask for 5 pieces chicken. And i usually only get the dark meats. The rude guy give me white meat instead. I was like. Wtf? He cant tell the different between dark and white. When i came back to change. He said no can't do. I mention i know the boss that always give me dark meat. He said he doesn't care. This is gonna be the last time I'm goin to this place. Hopefully the boss read this review and teach the employee how to treat the customer. I'm in the restaurant business too. So i know things that I'm talking about.
This restaurant is an absolute waste of money. It’s owned by the same company that operates Shah's Halal, which makes this location a disappointment to the Shah's brand. They even try to mislead customers on Uber Eats into thinking this is a Shah's restaurant. I have great experiences at the Shah's in Norwalk, CT, but this place doesn't compare. I understand that not all Shah's locations—or in this case, Castle Chicken—are the same. The food here was not fresh and had an odd taste. After just two bites, I had to throw the rest away. The wings were rubbery and unappetizing. I wouldn’t recommend spending your money here unless there are significant improvements made to the food quality. If I could rate it zero stars, I would.
