I haven't been there for a long time. It was crowded, but there was room to sit. Like a good New Yorker, I had a bacon, egg and cheese fritata, fruit and a mini-muffin. Had a moimosa for a drink. The bathrooms were clean and there were many staff cleaning tables. The staff was friendly. It is not loud or not quiet and efficient illuminated. Note that the registration rules for the Lounge 2023 change depending on your medallion status and flight.
Usually a line to get into this is one of the best SkyClubs in the USA When in NY you have to have a Nathan's Hot Dog and this SkyClub has it in the afternoon! Yes! This lounge serves hot food in feces or you can enjoy the buffet. Much if the elections. What I don't like is Delta's new entry policy. Caters to the haves instead of the true business travelers. Shows that all it takes, money in the world is not hard work and loyalty and that SUCKS!
Food is not always good here. Sometimes you can be lucky and get a good day, but for me the bad days outweigh the good days. Service is just fine, including the host who welcome you, which is unlike Delta Club, but I give them a passport since there is New York, lol. Food is usually cold cuts and boring. I also don't like her setup here, the drinks are far from the good. I think they need a better layout. Anyway, I dig the Sky Delta Club, it's always a unique experience, no matter where you are.
Our visit here was back in June, 2022. En route to CPH, we had a long layover. Arriving just before 1600 hours, I though we 'd beaten rush hour. WRONG! Rush hour was already waiting for us inside. At the time of our visit, the entry had not yet been 'automated ' (scan your boarding pass, and the system determines if you get to go in, with a 'guard ' standing by the machines . So right at the top of the escalator, there was a line, even though there were a good 3 or 4 agents to check you in. That was a taste to come. Turn the corner after you 're checked in, and you 'll be met with a few hundred of your closest friends, the supporting cast to a Thomas Hardy novel. The bar wait is not THAT bad (3 or 4 deep is my recollection , since there are several busy barkeeps, but the food line you can fuhgetabadit! One look at that long queue and you 've cured whatever hunger pangs you had. Peaking over the shoulders of those in line confirmed that, meh, it 's not worth the wait. You just MIGHT be able to sneak a bowl of soup around the corner it 's not cutting in line, since it 's at the end of the line, where there is no line. But otherwise, this will be a good exception to drinking on an empty stomach. Suffice to say, we did not stay long not when the Centurion Lounge is an option. The facility itself is really quite big, with good amenities (showers! . The back side overlooking some gates is sunny and could be relaxing. They have a thoughtful Prosecco station right as you enter, which is a good option if you want to quickly quench your thirst. All that to not only dwell on the negative, and therefore 3 instead of 2 stars. But along with the staff necessary to properly take care of the hordes of customers, this was just way too crowded, at least on this particular day.
