Rip View Bistro - QUEENSCLIFF

The third meal was supposed to be a beef pancake, but we were served a beef and kidney pie instead. The first two meals arrived a full half hour before the rest of the orders. Unfortunately, the night ended on a sour note when one of our party members broke down in frustration.

The restaurant has lovely views, but the service and food leave much to be desired; calling it "pub grub" would be too generous. The rice portion of the nasi goreng was inedible. Despite its popularity, the service was lackluster and slow. It's hard to find anything positive about the experience. A coworker made a mistake regarding the payment, and it took a considerable amount of time to clarify that our meals had, in fact, been paid for. It resulted in a rather unpleasant end to the evening.

I have nothing positive to say about this restaurant. We waited two hours for our meal, only to send it back because it was unacceptable. Save your time and money; it's not worth it.

The other week came to lunch. halfway through my meal I noticed there was a bug in my salat. I called the waitress to notify her. she took my shield away without even giving me a chance to show her where the fault was. she came back and told me she couldn't find the mistake. she was very rude about it, and when the kitchen ended, I couldn't replace my meal, and I was still the full price for the meal, although I wasn't able to finish it as it was rudely sneaked away from me. everything I was offered was not a fee for the desert that was not wise for the price of the main meal. Always a good meal, menu could use some tweaking to accomodate the tastebuds of the younger generation but otherwise it's good. Obviously calamari and fish is delicious. Lovely spot for lunch with the family overlooking the ocean
