We had our lunch at Lido's Cocina Tsina with my family. We ordered: Yang Chow Fried Rice Not the best yang chow rice however, I like the cooked on the rice because its not sticky as compared to others. Also, it has a good amount of other ingredients, like the pork, peas, carrots and shrimps. Put some chilli oil to add flavor.. 16-Spiced Shantung Pork This one is my favorite, its a pork rubbed with 16 spices. It has a perfect balance of sweetness and saltiness. A lil bit of spiciness as well. The pork was incredibly tender and well marinated. It also comes with a chinese vinegar. Crispy Tofu in salt and pepper One of the side dishes from Lido which I really liked because its so crispy, well seasoned, and has a fresh garlic, onion leeks and chilli. It also comes with a chinese vinegar. Wanton Mami Originally, we ordered beef brisket wanton mami, unfortunately it's not available at that time. So there, we ended up with this flavored noodles. I can't give you feedback with this one because they served it tasteless. I asked the waitress if that should be the taste of their wanton mami, she said no, so she sent back the mami to the kitchen to fix the flavor. She returned to us with a hot bowl of wanton mami, but then again, it has no flavor at all. Just a taste of hot water with some pepper. So I asked her to cancel the order because we're not happy at all. I also asked her to give us a feedback on what happened to the noodles, so she go back to the kitchen and ask the chef. And then, the Manager came to us, sincerely apologized on what happened. She explained that the seasonings mixed their places. When the chef supposedly put ajinomoto in the soup, he mistakenly grabbed the pepper. It was an honest mistake. Nevertheless, we'll go back again to try their other food. *It was a nice gesture from the Manager named Tina, as she gave us a coupon for the free Manchurian Wings for our next visit. :
The place is jampacked on a Saturday night, and parking can be tricky, but the place is large enough to accommodate groups and the diners brave the traffic to get a taste of some of their favorites. The Hunan Lomi Soup is thick, hearty, flavorful with a kick of spice a perfect starter to your meal. Chunks of meat and mushroom lend a rich umami flavor. Spareribs in salt and pepper make for a good meal to share crispy, bite size pieces of pork ribs battered, fried and seasoned to perfection. It comes with a vinegar dip that complements its flavors and renders a balance in flavor. The Chinese Fried Chicken is seasoned moderately with Chinese five spice, and fried until it is crisp but still juicy inside. Throw in some good old yang chow rice peppered with vegetables and pieces of their famous asado and your tongue will sing with every bite. Lido's is a good place for a good, old fashioned family dinner.
I guess you can say that I 'm an already expert in Lido dining (I 've already reviewed three branches Why? You see, I 'm such a fan of the their food (well, most not all . Even after a minor issue with their Commonwealth branch, mom and I still patronize the brand. Of all branches near our place, its the Visayas that 's our favorite. It 's visually clean (except for their yucky toilet! , smells clean, servers pleasant and the food is much much better (I would say, a huge improvement from THAT branch. I know that all branches adhere to the same recipe to achieve uniformity, pero iba pa rin ang Commonwealth. Anyway, it was early in the morning one weekday, my mom asked to come with her to make a payment on a new car. We finished the transaction before and 10am and mommy complained of not having breakfast yet (maybe because of excitement? . She asked to be taken to one of my discoveries in the Scout area and after consulting my good friend, Zomato ended up not finding one open before 11am. And it hit me. Why not breakfast in Lido Visayas where I normally buy her Shrimp Foo-Yong? Off we went. As expected we were greeted by a smiling and helpful staff. We ordered. Mommy didn 't have to open the menu for she knew by heart what she wanted (guess? and I, Breakfast Primera. My mom finished her Shrimp Foo-Yong and I, had half of my Breakfast Primera wrapped. I found it too dry and too tough for my teeth which are undergoing treatment. Not your fault, Lido Visayas. I will still be buying my mom 's Foo-Yong there. Lastly, can you do something with your toilets?
PWD friendly staff, courteous and respectful. The food was quick to serve and the buttered chicken is to die for. Highly reccomended for families and friends alike
