The Little Wine Haus at 2 Lazcano Place is a quaint little shop that offers a sophisticated experience despite being in the generally laid back environment of the Scout Area in Quezon City. With traffic reaching new heights, I'm glad a northerner like me does not need to venture far to have a cozy place to sit and have a sip of quality but not over priced wine. The tapas served here are also worth mentioning. My friends and I tried the Lil Bratz, a platter of small cocktail sausages that served as a great savory companion to the tart wine. The highlight of the menu is the caviar pie. A small round of onions, eggs, and cream cheese is topped with some black caviar. It has all the classic condiments usually found in a caviar spread. The difference is that it's already stacked together in pie form. It is easily spreadable on the crackers that are also provided. I personally like my caviar to be a lot more briny and flavorful but I'm glad to get a chance to have some in such an accessible location and at only Php250 per serving (about 3 inches in diameter good for sharing between 2-3 people). I'm definitely looking forward to hanging out here again very soon. They also have beers on tap so even non-wine drinkers are welcome!
When Life Gets Complicated, I wine so goes the motto of Little Winehaus. I would not mind adopting that motto myself haha . Hey Im a vino-cheese lady more than a beer-pulutan one. That is not to say they do not serve beer in the premises. They do. They serve Stella Artois Draft beer. You can heave a sigh of relief gentlemen...
Little WineHaus is a quaint wine nook that has a wide wine selection, as well as, excellent jamon and caviar cake. Dim lighting, leather seats, and an open tap. The ambiance of the Little Winehaus is relaxing from fixtures, the playlist and to the friendly staff. What you should order: Caviar Cake This five layer cake is filled with cream cheese, onions, eggs, and caviar. Spread this over a piece of cracker and enjoy the creamy texture and refined taste of their caviar. Perfectly paired with wine. Jamon Serrano Why not jamon? Thinly sliced pieces of cured meat. This underrated nook offers quality eats and drinks at an affordable price. Another bonus is you can cross order from the other restaurants in the compound.
I was curious about their caviar cake .... and I wasn't let down! for the price of P295, it was a steal. Topped with caviar with bits and pieces of onions and eggs ... i smothered this generously on my cracker, then a few drops of lemon.. BOOM. A burst of flavors i really enjoyed this with a bottle of Arrogant Frog which i shared with my friend. Also ordered the Jamon Serrano, Little Brats and some cheese, Brie and Gruyere. For the ambiance.. it was cozy and intimate. Service of the 2 crews was attentive and courteous. will be back soon.
Looking for an affordable place to spend your Titas of Manila night can be a bit challenging. With most tapas and wine bars selling their wine and anti pasti at several hundreds per serving, going out for one could definitely hurt the holiday budget. But, what if I tell you that there's a place that could give you and your amigas a lovely Wine and Jamon Serrano night for only PHP540? Intrigued?
