French Baker has been around for decades. My lola and I used to eat here a lot when I was younger. I was a picky eater but I loved their lasagna and garlic bread. The younger me found it super cheesy and I kept asking for it. To this day, this is still one of my mom's preferred bakeries for bread. It's just very accesible and typically located near the supermarket. They know their target audience! We usually have their French bread, croissants, pastry shells, and different kinds of danish at home. Their cinnamin rolls, as well as their cherry and blueberry danish are breakfast staples in our family. I love how consistent they have been for years. The pastries taste the same every time not to mention very affordable.
Whenever I craved for pasta, TFB is one if my go to places, their fettucini alla carbonara is one of my favorites, has the perfect amount of sauce, and the saltiness is just right too, I just wish there's 2 pieces of bread that comes with it instead of one, the ambience of the place is quite nice too, really perfect for meetings, quiet lunch, or a quick afternoon snack.
I call this place the home of French and Italian pastas and bread. A go to place of pasta monsters, I call myself that. Their variety of choices for pasta is good but you would always have this favorite which you would always end up ordering for most of the time. For me, it is as simple as their beef lasagna. There is also uniqueness about the espresso freeze and it became my most ordered drink recently. The nice rating is mainly because of the delicious food that they serve. I just don't like the idea of falling in line when ordering. I know this is not a fine dining, but it adds more convenience to us if our orders are taken while seated.
I am a sucker for french bread and pasta. Will never get enough of them. This bakery/restaurant will always be my favorite. Today we had steak sandwich and chicken parmigiana fettucini. Both were huge servings so I split it up with my daughter. But my all time fave pasta here would be the lasagna verde. I will always love the chicken ala king and their soup on a bread bowl. Of course I won't be coming home empty handed. Love the croissants and danish pastries!
