I was impressed that roasted duck was on the menu, as this isn’t typically served in other Chinese restaurants but is quite popular in Hong Kong. They even served the duck with plum sauce! Plus points for that. The interior of the place is bright and modern, and the staff was pleasant. <br/ <br/ We ordered their soy chicken, crispy lechon, roasted barbecue, and roasted duck. <br/ <br/ This is the place to go when you’re craving for juicy authentic HK roasts!
Hong Kong Little Kitchen is a quaint resto in San Juan serving HK classics. I frequent the carwash place across the street and it’s become a habit of mine to dine here while waiting. Among their roast meats, I’ve only tried the charsiu pork, lechon macau and roast duck. Thought their charsiu pork was good tender and flavorful with just the right amount of fat but the rest was just ok.
Food is good, but the highlight would be the very accommodating and friendly staff
Im really not a fan of roastings because I thought they wouldnt offer anything new and they taste the same no matter where you dine.<br/ <br/ However, I was pleasantly surprised with this little kitchen because they serve tender, savory roasts, big servings and definitely worth the price youre paying for it. Their roast pork bbq has the right amount of sweetness (i drench mine in chili oil just because I love that kick) and tenderness. Sometimes the fear in ordering these roast is getting dry, hard pieces of meat. This is totally NOT the case at this place. The meats are juicy AF. <br/ <br/ Their soy meñu is not bland and you would get a lot per serving. They offer pig 's tongue, intestine, ear, etc. Again, i drench mine in chili oil just because it goes so well with it.<br/ <br/ They also offer other ala carte dishes chinese food you would see in other chinese restaurants, which are also worth trying. Definitely try their special fried rice. This may even be 'ulam on its own '. <br/ <br/ The place is small, but quaint. The place is bright and clean. Definitely an inviting environment to dine in. Will keep coming back to this place.
I always find myself coming back to this place! I personally get sick of Chinese food easily but this is an exception. Everyone I bring here loves it!<br/ <br/ The place is clean and has unique interiors especially for a Chinese restaurant— it gives such good and happy vibe and is very fitting for millennials who are fond of taking pictures for instagram. Packed during peak hours and parking is limited so be sure to go early! Small but not terrible at all. 4.5/5<br/ <br/ The food. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it! The HK Barbecue (Char Siu) is my personal favorite. Juicy and flavorful the moment you take your first bite. I also recommend their lechon macau, roast duck, and beef kenchi noodles! Also don’t forget to taste their sweet and sour pork and their pork buns to finish a flavorful meal. Taste is always consistent. Their house blend iced tea is my favorite beverage as well! It goes so well with their food. 5/5<br/ <br/ Serving size is extremely generous considering the price. Affordable food that makes you feel like you’re dining in Hong Kong. 5/5<br/ <br/ The servers are very friendly and approachable. They seem to be really passionate and knowledgeable about the food, which really helps when you have questions or requests. You can really tell that they love what they do. 5/5<br/ <br/ Take-outs are also available and the food is just as good but I prefer you dine in to get the whole HK Little Kitchen experience.<br/ <br/ Overall 5/5 for this restaurant. Hoping that they branch out so more people get to witness this amazing experience!
