The chicken is absolutely delicious: tender, smoky goodness that leaves a delightful experience on your taste buds. Wanna up the flavors a notch? Try adding one of their signature sauces- from mild to spicy and Cajun flavors- there's enough variety to suit even the finickiest eater. My only beef is that I find the pasta overpriced, and their Shrimp Aglio Olio is a re-plated version of the shrimp pasta you can get at Stackers, their sister company. I feel offended to have to pay more for the same dish, I guess. Still- staff are friendly and will definitely be back for more chicken goodness!
The Rio (PhP 695) is a phenomenal plate with one whole hearty peri-peri chicken with java rice, java garlic rice, fries, and tortilla. The chicken was perfectly cooked and amazing with all the side dishes. It came out really juicy in the middle and somewhat charred outside. The staff said that the Rio Peri-Peri is one of the best things on the menu, and we agree. It’s a solid order with a “yes” factor to the taste. Topped with grilled peri-peri chicken strips, onions, tomatoes with perinnaise sauce, the Ala Peri-Peri Pizza (PhP 350) was another great entree that can represent what Peri-Peri chicken is all about. Chicken strips were on point texturally with a nice interplay of hot-off-the-grill, savory and rustic flavor. It’s easy to be head-over-heels with this one! rochkirstin.com
“Welcome to Peri Peri”, “Welcome”. That’s the greeting that made us feel so welcomed. :)) We ordered a weekday special consisting of two 1/8 chicken, r fish sticks, 2 java rice, 2 coleslaw and 2 pepsi. We also had an extra quatro - 1/4 chicken - because I thought 1/8 chicken is not enough. I was expecting it to be served at a wooden board however, that was not the case since it was a pair meal. It can’t be helped. The chicken is not salty and it is not bad “papakin” after the rice was consumed. I also love the gravy. Sometimes, I’d been adding hot and spicy sauce which tastes like couscous from Mary Grace (which I don’t like) but just a mild one so I was fine with it. The fish stick ain’t that great but with the sour and cream dipped, it’s better. The ambience, the service and the food is overall good.
Juan Miguel Villanueva and I ordered Rio (1 whole chicken with 4 sides) for only 695php. It's already good for 3-4 persons. Some parts were juicy, but some were also dry. The sides were okay too.
If you're avoiding fried dishes better try this one. They have a big serving good for 3 to 4 persons which includes roasted mexican whole chicken, flavored rice, mashed potato and corn as our side dish. They also have nachos as appetizer while waiting for your order. My only comment is that the service is a bit slow and i guess it requires more training for their staff. happyhippievibe.com
