It was my first time in St. Marc. I don't visit this cafe often because I thought the place was intimidating and I am afraid that if I eat here I will go out with an empty wallet. But this place proved me wrong. The menu was decent and priced relative to the quality of the dishes. I ordered an original hot chococro and I liked it. The chocolate was fudgy and sweet enough. It reminds me of homemade chocolate bread. The bread itself was flaky and soft. I went with a serving of four season tea, and the combination was light, yet filling. The cashier and waiters all smiled as they served customers. The hotel was also very neat and the seats were oh so comfortable. I like that this place is quiet and they play classical music!
Tried their katsu burgers: Menchi Katsu and the White Fish Katsu. Service was quick, our order came early. The ambience of the café is perfect for catching up and learning ???? Verdict for the food: the patties were a little salty. And a bit more expensive than it tastes like.
I was looking for a great dessert that would cost you less. Then I found St. Marc Cafe. I ordered her ice cream on a bag called "Ichigo". It has strawberry syrup and sliced strawberries on top, which I really like because I'm a huge fan of strawberries. The vanilla ice cream itself is good too. I was even surprised because when I was about to finish my ice cream, I found that it has cereal downstairs. For a 150 peso ice cream, I can say it was worth it. I also tried their Premium Chelsea Chococro. It was a butterscotch version of their chococro. If you want to try, ask them to heat it again. :) It's good when it's hot. :) If you are a fan of butterscotch you should give it a try.
We tried Choco Berry Celebration last Friday and I have to say it was pretty decent. The portion for the toppings and ice cream is quite generous. But I hope they put fresh strawberries instead of frozen ones. I will also try other St. Marc flavors / products in the future. ????????????
