This humble, homey, "hole in the neighborhood" restaurant is a frequented place in the residential Malakas St. because of its cakes and meals at very reasonable prices. The chocolate cake which costs only Php 55/slice oozes with flavor and creaminess despite its simplicity. Other treasure dishes that must be tried include Lapaz batchoy special (a sure winner) and embotido (as cute square slices, an all-day breakfast meal). The muffins are good, too -- moist, sweet and really cheap. The establishment is strategically located near three tertiary hospitals and right across the headquarters of the Philippine Society of Pathologists, making it a favorite dining haven among doctors.
