Dear Montilios, while the prices have increased a bit and I’m not a fan of the credit card fee, the food is absolutely delicious! The desserts are wonderful, but the pizza, calzones, and sandwiches are equally fantastic. I particularly love their BBQ chicken calzone and tuna sandwiches. They also offer delivery through Grub Hub, which is really convenient!
Ordered an Italian sub. Asked for oil and mayo. Tell me why this sub was dry and flavorless?Tasted like a meat sandwich. Just a mouth full of meat on dry bread. They was even stingy with the lettuce! The condiments are to enhance the flavor oil, salt, pepper.. Italian seasoning, maybe). Sometimes, I close my eyes and remember the days when you could get a bomb azz Italian sub for like $5/6 with a bag of chips with a kiwi strawberry Mistic. Y'all remember. Today they want doubt ble the price for less.MmmMmnn, 0nope.I'm giving up 2 stars because Montillios has delicious tart pastries. Service is NEVER good and neither is their Italian sandwich. But go and get them tarts. They know what they're doing there!
This was my first visit to this establishment. I initially intended to grab a coffee, but once I arrived, I realized it's more than just a café—it's a bakery! They offer a wide variety of bread rolls and pastries, as well as pizzas and sandwiches for lunch. Although the space is small, it is clean and well-organized. The staff is very friendly and greeted me warmly. After I was served, the cashier kindly reminded me where to find the straws for my coffee. This is a fantastic spot for a quick coffee or lunch, and I definitely plan to return!
I spent about $30 on the cake and a total of $62 on five pastries, a sliced loaf of Italian bread (which I should have known would be stale, but I wanted to give them another chance), and the Pizzagaina. When we cut into it, however, it turned out not to be Pizzagaina at all; it was more like a blend of cheesecake and ricotta cake. While it was tasty, it wasn’t what I had paid for. The manager insisted it was indeed Pizzagaina and suggested we might be thinking of Pizza Rustica. Was my grandmother from Italy mislabeling it all these years? I don’t think so. They offered no compensation for the mistake, and while others may have called, it was still our responsibility for not knowing. Additionally, there are no ingredients listed on the cake, nor is it specified as a sweet cake, which contributes to the confusion, especially since others seem to have had the same impression. It would be helpful to include ingredient information on the cakes! I know they are a successful bakery, but it's disappointing that they don't take this extra step to ensure clarity. To be fair, their pastries and desserts have always been excellent, and they did a lovely job for my father's funeral dinner. I really hate to write this review. My family has spent a significant amount of money there over the years, and to say we are disappointed is an understatement.
