Stopped for Lunch. Glad we did. The ambience and atmosphere great, the staff friendly and so continental. The food was delicious and personal. Finding such a restaurant in Trenton was quite the surprise..
Being new to the area we happily found this quaint little spot today. We both had the root vegetable soup and then an eggplant and cheese croissant and an italian sandwich with local meats. Everything was well prepared and very tasty. The server was very friendly and took the time to tell us all about L'Auberge de France. We'll certainly be back to sample the breakfast croissants and sweets. Its really nice to have such a wonderful alternative available so close to home.
The croissants are calorie-laden gems, the coffee excellent and there is a wide variety of other pastries guaranteed to put the weight on, unless you go for a speed walk later in the day. Sandwiches, too, all in a quaint informal setting. There are frozen treats as well and the staff is a lot more friendly than a surly Parisienne waiter. On Saturday, the croissants can sell out early. Opens at 9 a.m. Oh, yes, there are beverages imported from France, too. It is well worth an exploration.
Impressive bakery. Nicest place in trenton. Lots of room to sit and eat with friends. Clean. Yummy chocolate chip cookies!
