Dar El Medina - Rabat

Ended up in Dar El Medina because a local friend recommended it and took me there. Food is amazing, we shared 2 tajines, one with chicken lemon and the other one with beef and prunes and it was really really really good! And I have to admit that when I saw the couscous arrive to another table I was, what is that? Because even if I was full it just looked so yummy! The owner who grew up here in Rabat is very welcoming, well traveled and speaks fluent English. From the outside it looks like just a regular door that wouldn't wake up any interest (except for the colourful walls but once you get in it, it has a really nice patio (covered in winter in which you can appreciate the traditional tile art built with many little tiles instead of big painted ones, both on the floor and on the windows arches. Staff is friendly and helpful and there are also some paintings so it feels like a gallery (you can actually buy them! at the same time that you are just stopping to have a nice meal and get out of the busy medina without actually leaving. I definitely recommend it! And I will for sure go back! Ps: it has wifi and bathrooms are clean

Very nice food. I really liked the chicken couscous. The carrot salad is also great but the cucumber salad was a little tasteless. Good dessert. The price is fair and the quantity is great (as you can see in the pics).

Very nice place, modern moroccan style. Kind and attentive service. Food was not very good though; the beef in the couscous was dry and though, and the couscous was tasteless.

This place is a hidden gem, absolutely amazing! The place itself is very authentic and beautiful. Great staff and service. Eating is just authentic and sublime. Appropriate price for what it is. Very recommended.

This is my favorite restaurant in Rabat, Morocco. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order, I am always thrilled with my meal! Team is also great and always efficient, happy and polite. Can not wait to return and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for Moroccan dishes in Rabat, the capital of Morocco.
