Butcher Barrel Gastropub - Racine

Drove up to meet our son and his girlfriend and picked butcher barrel Gastopub on a whim. Reviews looked good and the atmosphere fit the bill. We were not disappointed and will be back again!!!

Food is great. Favorites are the Brussels sprouts, any of the steaks and cauliflower mash. Dietary restrictions: They cater to allergies and have gluten free options. They have offered me different crème brûlées off the menu that are amazing! Parking: If it’s a busy weekend you may walk a block or more.

Would love to like this place but got to deal with the unpleasant odor of them cleaning grease traps at dinner time on a Monday. The smell is awful. Our bartender was wonderful so no complaints there. Can’t comment on the food because we have to get it to go because of the smell.

Great food and the service is excellent. A nice find in Racine.

Chris was our server and did a great job!! Spare rib special was excellent. Charcuterie board had locally produced goat cheese. Salad was excellent and enough for 2. Good quality and portions.
