Raju Datta Lodge Rajmahal Ganga Godara Ghat

Depending on your taste and perspective , a place can be good or not so good. Dutta lodge is a small lodge in a quaint little town of Rajmahal on the launch Ghat. One needs to understand that you will not get 5 star facilities at such a small town but the service and honesty of the people, the love and respect they treat you with more than makes up for the deficiencies. 4 rooms in the lodge have an attached toilet and the seating style is Indian. The remaining rooms have a common toilet. The rooms are decent for a night’s stay and the biggest plus point is the cleanliness. The rooms are cleaned unbelievably well everyday and so also the toilets, so hygiene is good. Food served at the hotel is typical dhaba style and I loved it. Piping hot food was served and the taste was heavenly. But the downsides are that the approach road to the lodge is in shambles and the road right in front is pretty shabby with a lot of waste. I did put in a word with the manager Bhuttu Paswan and the owner Shyamal Dutta about the shortcomings and if taken care of they would be as good a place as any. It does have a few deficiencies, which might be irritating for many, but I was overwhelmed with their service and the behaviour of the manager Bhuttu. He is the one who ensured that we did not endure any difficulty. That more than made up for the shortcomings . I loved the stay here but my advice to travellers would be to please look at things objectively according to your likings and then only stay here.. cause travellers would love such a place but it might not be very comfortable for tourists if you know what I mean)

It is situated at very beautiful place, right next to River Ganga. Behaviour of the staff is very very good. You can take lunch and dinner at Raju hotel. You can also get cooked from here.
