Dickey's Barbecue Pit - Raleigh

The restaurant offers high-quality meats that are all expertly prepared. While the service may feel a bit distant at times, it’s clear they know their craft and can deliver when it matters. There are four different sauces available, which you can apply yourself. I recommend trying the brisket salad with Dickey's original sauce. On a Sunday afternoon, dining at a table on the street makes for a pleasant picnic-style lunch or dinner experience.

I ordered delivery through Order Up, so I can't comment on the dining experience, but the food was fantastic! The ribs were incredible! The sauces, hushpuppies, and fried okra were all among the best I've had from a restaurant. I was not disappointed!

Ate here after watching a movie at the imax. This is the best bbq I have had so far. Staff is very friendly and the restaurant was clean. I dig the wood paneling, it gives the restaurant an old road side dinner.

The food was quite good. I ordered the pulled pork plate and was satisfied with it. However, the service was a bit slow, and the ice cream machine was out of order, which was disappointing since the free ice cream is a big draw at Dickey's. Overall, it was still a decent experience, but not the best Dickey's location I've visited.

I previously wrote a post here about the preparation and service, but since it seems to have improved considerably. I 've dropped in a few times since and each time the food has been great, hot and ample. People have addressed me loud enough for me to hear and pointed out things I 'd otherwise miss, like that 'hushpuppies come with this anyway and that I might want another side instead of extra hushpuppies. ' I look forward to my next visit.
