Well, it's just a Starbucks inside a Target. The area could have been cleaner, too. Additionally, this location does not accept Starbucks payments—only scan payments. I think I’ll be crossing this place off my coffee list.
Not a good experience. I ordered a sugar free non-fat coffee drink. When I was wrung up the register said vanilla latte. I questioned the barista and was told their system is not sophisticated enough to have all the buttons for all the drink combinations. I find this hard to believe. Then I sat down while my drink was being made and did not hear the barista call my name. I was about two feet away. So either she whispered or neglected to call me, my hot drink sat on the counter until I realized it was mine. When I confronted her, all I got was, I called your name. Yeah, right. I don't think I'll be visiting this Starbucks again.
Quick customer service has disappeared, and the welcoming Starbucks atmosphere is gone! It now feels like a robotic assembly line that doesn’t acknowledge the customers around them. The focus seems to be solely on the drive-thru, neglecting those who come inside. I was among the first customers at the very first Starbucks in Raleigh, and it’s a completely different experience now—customer service no longer seems to matter. Once, getting a cup of coffee at Starbucks was a memorable experience; now it feels just like waiting in line at McDonald's or any other fast food joint. Perhaps it's because they’re all wearing masks even after the mandate has been lifted, and they struggle to communicate.
Spent $17 on 3 coffees. Stood there for over 10 minutes while 3 employees cleaned and none were making my drinks. After I got my beverage it was room temperature.
I was in Wake Forest at Target and decided to stop by the Starbucks there. I don't often visit Starbucks, only treating myself on special occasions. Unfortunately, the barista was incredibly rude and seemed more interested in chatting with a male friend sitting at a nearby table than providing good service. When you spend $5 on a cup of coffee, you certainly don't expect to be met with an attitude. One would expect better service from a place like Starbucks, especially since I've received better service at gas stations.
