Tony's Pizza - Raleigh

This restaurant serves authentic New York-style pizza by the slice. The crust is thinner than pan-style but crispy and sturdy enough to be eaten by hand. I loved the freshness of the pizza and thought it tasted just like a family recipe.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this restaurant. I decided to grab some slices for dinner while I was at the shopping mall, and I was very impressed. The slices were large and packed with flavor. Despite being thin, the crust was still crispy on the bottom, making it easy to pick up and fold. I will definitely be returning.

The pizzeria is situated behind carmax on Glenwood Ave. The pizza is decent, tasting better when warm or reheated for optimal flavor. I ordered a simple medium cheese pizza. It's a classic NY style pizza that can be folded, with a hint of oil. This is a mom-and-pop shop, much preferred over the chain franchise pizzas or the thin cardboard-like crust served at Randy's Pizza. I would definitely return to try other items on the menu besides the pizza.

Good food served fast friendly. Very tasty NY style thin crust, large slice pizza. Store is very casual, nothing fancy, but it is clean well maintained.

Best Chef Salad ever. It was more like an Italian Antipasto salad. A very high end extra virgin olive oil and not overwhelming vinegar just absolutely delicious. I just moved here so hope all their offerings are this quality.
