I can see why they have so many bridal baby showers here – a relaxing and elegant way to spend an afternoon. I was here several times to teach with friends and with my tea company and we were always well looked after and the food made right there in the house kitchen was well prepared, spiced and plentiful. I don't think anyone in our group has managed to start, let alone finish our desserts – we are all so full when we come to them! The best part is that they had no problem, our group try all the different teas we wanted. This is just a good service and good business because most of us ended up buying some of our favorite loose leaf mixes at the end. I bought the “Pecan Pancake” yes, it’s as good as it sounds, add some milk and sugar and who needs dessert?? Located on a somewhat lively street in a residential area of Rancho Cucamonga/Etiwanda, you can find difficulties at the parking lot in the lot – it is small, so when a party is booked, plan to park on the street directly north of the house. Also, reaching someone by phone can sometimes be a challenge, but persistence pays off, it is really worth, and Barbara and her staff are the sweetest ladies you will ever meet. I am so happy to have such a place just a few minutes away... awww the lure of a freshly baked scone... mmmm. Another thing, Barbara’s is also a year round gift shop that specializes in Christmas decoration, so if you are the kind that loves Christmas in July, do yourself a favor and visit them soon. I plan to have our Christmas party there because I couldn't think of another place that would do it like Barbara's Tea House.
Back in time in a real restored Victorian home and get rewarded with all the holiday cuts. It is eternal vacation time in the Victorian Tea House of Barbara, and the halls are covered in Victorian charm and Christmas trees. The service is wonderful, the food is fantastic, and you can choose from an endless range of teas and switches as often as you want. A favorite for bridal and baby showers.
If I couldn't give a star, I would. we have not even finished our meal, as it was completely unpleasant, unprofessional and inhospitable throughout the entire meal. there is another teahouse. I was invited by a neighbour on our first lunch I was very excited to go with my little girl for our first tea party unfortunately the entire experience of the reservation that was to leave the teehouse was terrible! below are the ball points of the unprofessional isma: first my friend had asked to book it personally confirmed by barbras daughter. then called back and said she had no reservation. that's an RED wing. so she made a reservation. the parking lot was filled with steinkies. not to appeal for a Victorian teehouse, not enough parking said, “Parking in the street”. we then stood by crystal (one other of barbra's daughters) waiting. Crystal was overwhelmed by the addition of a 7 year old little girl to reserve. after waiting for more than 10 minutes to put us in the entry table, we were there (as it had 6 people place). then in a descending ton says crystal: "we had a cancellation if we could not serve them. later I walked around and noticed that another table, the also square 6 was empty all the time we were there. eating was put on the table from crystal – did not tell us where to sit, as the adult have a different meal than the children. we only saw fruit and sandwiches. no. how tried to find out who is eating, I ask crystal and she points out that we were served 3 meal times for adult and the meal of a child. I mentioned to her that my niece is 7 and she said: “She eats more, so she is grown up!” Next, barbra comes around and thinks she is the owner I told her with her daughters that the child is responsible for an adult and she says: “oh no, she is a child”. I repeated this to crystal and she said, "No, she is adult." no community between barbra and their employees/daughters. Finally we come to the tee part of our lunch and waitress says: “What do you want tea?” my friend and I look at us and say what are our decisions? then we get the rude answer, “the menu is right there!” again, no one has pointed this to us. the tee is served in a pot, no teessacks and no creamer. my 3-year-old start dances alongside her chair like a ballerina, because the classical music plays in the background and is quickly mocked by crystal, “she has to sit down.” the children pink limonade is all watered. no limonade taste. the scones do not come like scones, but muffins. a part of the charm to be in this special teehouse is in the position to go and go up. Of course, they let a regular customer go up, but not us. we have not even finished our meal as it is completely unpleasant, unprofessional and inhospitable during our stay. I asked about the check and the bill is $78.00 they have me $19.00 per child for small bowl, water down limonade, miraculous cut small triangle. again I was not aware of the outraged price for children and took my 3 year old daughter and 7 year old niee without price menu at the table. I just paid for it and was on my way. my friend made a comment on the way out to the effect that we would have to stop from mcdonalds to our girls and barbra’s teen daughter roared something like, “yes, out and go to McDonalds” and then the door quickly closed. that was the threat that the camels broke back. we knocked on the door and finally came out barbra. I explained our terrible experience. she gave my three-year-old daughter the debt for our bad experience that she couldn't sit still. I went over the points of our terrible meal. she agreed that it was bad and said she was talking to the daughter who yelled at us when we emigrated. then my daughter gave up again. I once again explained to her that she had nothing to do with the service and left it on it. the barbra itself also has no healthy sense, as she has accused a 3 year old little girl.
