Then the manager argued about the age of a few who were actually well over 21. They took their drivers license out and turns out they were both 30! While they waited for the manager to come check them the manager returned and said she didn't like them so she kicked them out! I was appalled watching this! I told my husband that I wouldn't give this place a dime. We ate elsewhere. It's such a shame because we had heard great things about this place. I really believe that if that family was white they would've been treated a lot better! My husband and I were. My recommendation is to not go there.
Food was delicious until the mariachi band started. It's a small space to be having that volume of singing and instruments 5 feet away. If you enjoy a trumpet blowing right into your ear and not being able to hear your dinner companions, this is the place for you.
I am Mexican and I eat and cook a lot of authientic Mexican food so I can confidently say this place was really good. My friend does not like mole at all, but she tried her husband's mole enchiladas and said they were amazing. My husband loved his regular enchiladas (tip: if you want cheese in your enchiladas you have to ask for it). I loved my grilled fish tacos so everyone at our table was more than satisfied. The queso fundido and table salsa were also delicious and the waitress was super friendly so the whole experience was great. Would definitely go back.
I’ve seen this place a few times and I finally went to try it out. I went with a friend for dinner on a cold rainy Sunday. When we were seated, the waitress told us that their chef went home thinking it was a slow evening so they would be running a little slow. Thought, fine, they probably have chips and salsa we can munch on meanwhile. We were a little indecisive about what to order but after about 10 minutes, we were finally approached to place our order. After another 10ish minutes of sitting there, we were asked if we wanted chips and salsa, of course we did we were hungry. After another 5-10 minutes we asked our waitress if we could please have the chips and salsa again and a sprite. Nope, still nothing. We saw our neighboring table get treated very well, while we just sat there hungry, with one drink, no chips and salsa and no sprite for my friend. Our food finally came and to our disappointment, it was mediocre. Yes, the chef went home early but there were other cooks there. We originally ordered mixed fajitas and a carne asada plate but we were given the wrong fajitas. We took the wrong order because after over half an hour of sitting there, we were so hungry!! The rice has poblano chilies so it’s a little bit different but not the worse. Carne asada didn’t have much flavor. My favorite part of my meal was the grilled nopal and fresh handmade tortillas. The restaurant was very beautifully decorated inside and the plates were very unique. The restaurant was super cold due to the weather and the waitress disclosed that the chef locked the thermostat therefore no heater. Maybe we visited on an off day but I wouldn’t come here again. The staff was friendly when they actually acknowledged us; when we were 1 of 2 tables left.
Delicious food that ALWAYS hits! Awesome drinks and service. Come to Mariachi night on Fridays, it's always so much fun and their tequila selection is fantastic.
