(drilled salmon, grilled vegetables with one side of jasmine rice ... the outside and inside seat is comfortable and aesthetically pleasant. Finally, the hostess and waitress were professional, ambiabel and simply nice (what a pleasure, on this day and age!
The food is as bad as it is expensive. A $30 plate of pasta should be phenomenal and not a blazing plate of fat noodles that I could do better at home. The vegan curry was a bowl of rice and vegetables with very little actual curry. The lobster risotto could hardly happen as a risotto. Everyone in our party commented on how overwhelming their food was. Add a star because the property is beautiful here.
I love the Inn?! I had a lot of great lunch there. The staff is great and the food is wonderful! We decided to eat our Thanksgiving lunch there and... Wow! Filet, lobster, potatoes and asparagus! It was so delicious! You need to go, eat or eat in the Inn, you can also stay there, which is so relaxing and beautiful!?
This spot is incredible! Nestled within the Inn at Rancho Santa Fe, Morada offered a peaceful and beautiful setting for a delicious meal. Our server was attentive and personable; the appetizers (shrimp, brussels, calamari) tasted amazing and were the perfect size to share among five ladies. Entrees had a few special requests, which were accommodated without question. The patio was a bit chilly, and they even offered us blankets! Overall, a stellar experience.
Is there a no star option? You would expect a hotel of this caliber staying in a 430 dollar room) to have a commensurate restaurant. The Morada at the Inn at Rancho Santa Fe was quite a memorable experience. Due to COVID-19 regulations we had to order by way of room service. My wife had the ginger soy snapper en papillote $42). It arrived completely raw. See picture. This dish is typically prepared completely cooked by wrapping and steaming in an oven. I dial the restaurant to notify management and am told ?I?m sorry about that, I?ll call you back?. Thirty minutes later no call back or visit to my room. I called back twice, but no one answers. I had to call the front desk to chase down the restaurant manager to return the call. After I finally get the call back, another standard apology with an offer for another dish. At this point my wife wasn?t hungry anymore so we declined and it was promised to be taken off the check need to check my statement later/we are still at the hotel). Everything up to this point, I was willing to excuse, but when asked if we needed anything else, I requested some more condiments for my meal. Forty-five minutes later, no dice on some more ketchup. I call the restaurant, it?s closed.. and here I am writing this review. Not to mention, there was an 18% room service fee that wasn?t mentioned anywhere until I was signing the check at my door. A dinner that we expected to be around $95 turned out to be $121 after taxes and before tip upon delivery. This needs to be mentioned somewhere or by someone.. The delivery man was waiting at the door for the signed check before we could start eating.. I went ahead and paid a 15% tip on top as I naturally assumed everything would be satisfactory. I was very wrong.
