Well, my Balkan tour through Germany has not yet ended, today after a long time again a report on a visit that was not so great. Yesterday again had a business appointment in Höhr Grenzhausen with a later visit of a buddy who lived in Bochum until about 5 years ago. There should be a snack before return. My favorite Croatian restaurant To the eagle in Höhr Grenzhausen unfortunately closed about 4 years ago. Since then, the place has been empty or the whole house is now for sale. So Plan B. On the road to the A3 in Ransbach Baumbach there was still a Balkan restaurant that I had visited about 8 to 9 years ago. I remember the place. Maybe it's here. For strangers, this place is almost unrecognizable, or it would be easy to pass through the square on the upper floor, as there are no real big signs or signs on the street front. also no big light complaint, unlike the pick-up pizzeria in the basement to the street or left in the outbuilding at the Hotel Eisbach das Eisbach. There is no entrance to the restaurant from the passage so that a stranger would never suspect it in the upper floor. At the lower edge of the roundabout you drive right next to the Hotel Eisbach up the small road and then immediately back to the town hall parking lot, which was quite full, but many of the guests arriving from the cars went over the Eisbachs. The entrance to the Roman terraces is then flattering. When the restaurant arrived, old memories came back. Since then, nothing has changed nor the dark floor tiles (in the rear area, but a second variety, quite gloomy inside and in the rear right area, the lighting was even outside. After the entrance there are toilets on the right side (which I did not visit several tables on the left side of the wall, after which comes the drink counter on the right side (the kitchen is behind, and in front and right several tables incl. the window before the passage. The tables are all covered with a red table top and a white table top that still had some brands of the previous guests. In addition, a flower in a vase, canteen salt pepper shaker and an additionally purchased disposable pepper shaker, which can be bought for 2 to 3 EUR by various companies in the supermarket. The inventory has been identical for more than 20 years. No matter, for the ambience 2 stars and for cleanliness today, my non-pure white tablecloth only 2.5 instead of the otherwise distributed 4 stars, because otherwise nothing was to complain about cleanliness. The host was still standing with a regular pair while entering, holding a chat there had two short still in hand and a cash bonus. I asked for a table, I was allowed to find one of the small two tables in the dark after arriving guests, was allowed to sit on the window, but I just wanted to eat and not watch the traffic on the street. A younger German woman in jeans and ordinary street tips (I think a weekend help came right to my table, greeted me kindly and gave me the menu and asked directly about my drink request. Well, as I had to go, I ordered a large Coca Cola, which was also served by her well-cooled bottle of a large liter bottle without looking into the map. It was a 0.3l glass that later stood on the checkout at 2.20€. I'm looking for a restaurant. The menu proved the typical Balkan classics, but I only saw it for a short time, as my court was founded before. At the young lady I ordered the classic Cevapcici for an incredible 8,90€, but today only with Krautsalat. At the price a few years ago I was looking forward to the result. The young lady took over 90% of the orders in the restaurant, put food, clean empty plates, etc. The herbal salad was given to me very quickly and it tasted very delicious (3.5 stars). After a very short waiting period, the Cevapcici plate was given to me and my appetite was desired. On the round white plate there was a not inconsiderable amount of frits, some Ajvar, a quiet amount of Djuwetsch rice with the unssitte, placement of the 6 Cevapcici above it, top a few two band rings and a Pepperoni. Then we want to free the Djuwetsch rice from the Cevapcicis. The frits were still very bright, more laff and were of very soft consistency (1 star, which can bud almost all fries better, the Djuwetsch rice was not quite so firm now, but somehow I also lacked some taste here. This was partly still quite warm, but where there was no Cevapcici, there was only one hatchwarm I never liked. For Djuwetsch rice 2.5 stars, even if it was partly only lukewarm. The onion rings on the Cevapcici could inspire me, but sometimes they were very delicious. The Ajvar from the large glass was quite OK a timely Ajvar reordering was made very quickly by the young lady in a good amount on a flat side dish that took place without later calculation (thanks. So now to Cevapcici. These were not the worst, but also not a real highlight. These were partially grilled by one side rather dark and on the other side still completely bright. Whether they were made themselves now?. When you look at the photo, you see the two lower Cevapcici very dark and the two were still very bright. From the taste the Cevapcici of me today also get only 2.5 stars. Thanks to the reasonable herbal salad there are still generous 2.5 stars for today's food. After the meal, the young woman asked me if she had cost me. Despite empty glass there was no demand for another drink, so I asked for the bill. The further sale of beverages was then again made by a gas station Pächter (as in recent times already more often after various restaurant visits, which some meters on the way to A3 their gas station. The young woman said to the host, boss, table 20. He came to me, put a reasonable bonus on the table. I was allowed to read the amount of €11.10 myself and pay €12. There was a friendly farewell to him. What was a little annoyed me was that all regular guests at the side tables, which were paid during my meal, a small baggage on the cash bonus, which we also receive during the first visit. With regard to the missing baggage for me and no demand for another drink despite an empty glass, the service today is also only generous 2.5 stars. After 40 minutes I was in the car. Conclusion: For example, less, but this in better quality. I also want to be willing to pay a little more for the food if the whole quality should be right. Despite the cheap 8,90€ for the main dish at this served performance, I can still only award 2.5 stars for the PLV. The regular guests may not have as many comparison options and are satisfied with full disks for small money. Once again in this area, if I like Croatian dishes, I will definitely return somewhere else. PS: The recommendations for the place that is deposited here at GG do not come from me!
