The restaurant has a dated 80s atmosphere with inexpensive furniture. The staff behind the counter gave off a strange feeling, almost looming over me as they moved about. Despite the restaurant being mostly empty, they seated us uncomfortably close to other patrons. The food was underwhelming, tasting greasy and lacking in flavor. The sauces appeared to be loaded with MSG, and it was perplexing how they could make a satay sauce without peanuts. After ordering a few appetizers and glasses of wine, totaling around €30, we were told there was a minimum spend of €15 per person, which left us puzzled. The waitstaff seemed more preoccupied with other tasks rather than attending to the customers. I would advise steering clear of this establishment.
I ordered five takeaway meals from this restaurant last night and all of them were awful and disgusting. I used to enjoy the food here but I will not be trying it again.
I've had a many a good meal in the restaurant here over the years and plenty of nice takeaways. However my last two takeaways (over the last month) were very very poor. I used to love the Chicken Cheese rolls but on both occasions they...were literally freezing in the middle...I had to put them in the oven at home myself to cook them and make them safe/edible. Will not be returning to the restaurant or the takeaway.
We just moved to the area and popped in for some food. The restaurant was cold 6.30pm mid week and empty bar one other couple. the owner apologies for the cold with the increasing bills that hugely affecting them. the 1/2 duck pancakes, prawn curry...and satay chicken were delicious! we regularly order via just eat, especially with visitors coming. The duck pancakes are always a must and we are working our way through the other dishes.
