K-bob's Steakhouse - Raton

The woman and I stopped here after spending the last five days on the road from the West Coast. We were recommended this place by the KOA along the way. I ordered the shrimp fajitas, and my wife opted for the T-bone steak. Honestly, we didn't have high expectations for our meal; after all, this is what you often get on the road! When our food arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. The shrimp was cooked to perfection, and my wife declared that her steak (ordered medium-rare) was better than some of the well-known steakhouses we've visited in the past. The portions were more than generous for both of us. The staff was friendly and attentive without being overly intrusive, which we appreciated. The restaurant was clean and decorated with historical photos on the walls, making it enjoyable to look around while we waited.

While traveling from Oklahoma, I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. It was impeccably clean, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. There was no loud music playing, and I appreciated that there were no employees ringing bells while singing "Happy Birthday." The dinner was fantastic; my partner enjoyed the ribeye steak, and I had the fried chicken, both of which were excellent. This experience surpassed most steakhouses back home! Highly recommended!

I and my boss drove back to Texas when he came from colorado springs when he mentioned a steakhouse he really wanted to visit. I found it on the map and low and see it was K-Bobs! I've read some cripples and they all looked good at me, so we gave it a bit. we went by noon with a Wednesday and it was not packed at all. the personal was so nice and helpful, and the restaurant itself was quite comforting with its wheel wall lights above, and other decoration of similarity. we ordered fried pickles and mozzarella sticks as appetizer, and they came quite dang fast. I don't know what they did here with their mozzarella sticks, but oh my god they were so delicious! the pickles were just as good, and as soon as my laughs and his 16oz ribeye came out, the true test was ready to begin. my salmon was boiled quite dang well, a little on the dry side, but still tasteful and delicate. the rice had a few crispy flees, but frankly I let this happen, it wasn't so much. I also ordered seasonal vegetables to go with my laugh and they were also a little on the dry side, but with a little butter presto! my boss loved his steak absolutely. he said it was perfect! much better than expected. overall, when they come a traveler, or when they live close, stop by this place! was truly amazing service, good eating and a relaxing atmosphere.

Historically a great place to eat. This time there was a sign about being short staffed, and the food and service was not what we have come to expect. Still, better than any other options we are aware of in Raton.

Still on the road and want hot food and a break. Found this place and the food was not bad but nothing to write home about. Steaks were cooked as ordered but reminded me of a chain like Bonanza or Western Sizzlin. Staff and server were great. So know what to expect.
