They do have some staples like the Franklin station burger and flatbreads, and they have a nice Sunday brunch, so I always go with the family. The staff is friendly and quick. It’s also nice when we’re going to Santander arena, since I can park and walk.Vegetarian options: There’s so many vegan options, so it’s not just vegetarian friendly. They even have vegan milkshakes!Kid-friendliness: My kiddo LOVES the food, and she’s somewhat of a picky eater. The chef does a great job of making sure she enjoys her food, and even comes out to say hello!Parking: There are 2 options- the free parking lot , which has about 50 spots, and then the attached garage is free if you go inside and eat or drink to get your ticket validatedWheelchair accessibility: There are no steps to get in, only one curb, which does have a ramp. The doors are heavy, so if you come with a group, I would recommend having someone help with the doors, as there are no automatic doors. There are tables that are half booth/half table, so there’s plenty of seating room available.
Food was limited-a lot of items on menu are not available. Beer was not very good and price for flight of 4 beers was $15! Cool building but that’s about it.
We were attending a concert in Reading, PA, and were looking for a place to have a bite to eat beforehand. From the time we walked to the door, throughout the meal and when we were leaving, the staff was AMAZING! So friendly, so welcoming, totally top notch! You all need to go there! I have never had such fabulous service! I highly recommend!! Wished we could have given 100 stars!! Thank you to the wonderful door person, waiter and manager! You guys knocked it out of the park!!
We came in about 2 in the afternoon. The place was not busy at all. The waiter was less than attentive during the entire meal. We had to ask for refills on drinks and I watched him chat with fellow employees at the bar while the beer one guest in my party ordered sat for way too long at the opposite end of the bar. I ordered Franklin Station burger expecting a very delicious meal. The bacon jam tasted burnt. I had to scrap it off. I even told the waiter it was not very tasty at all. He totally ignored that and didn 't seem to care. Each of us had to ask for our drinks to be refilled. Little did I know that they charge you for refills on diet cokes AND tea!! WHAT?? I saw him pour my diet Coke from a can but if your going to charge me to refill it at least give me what 's left in the can and let me know you charge for it!! And to charge for a refill on tea??? I also noticed on the bill he charged us for added veggies ...this was because I asked about lettuce on my burger...however, lettuce already comes on it. I 've honestly had a better burger at the golden arches! My fries were so greasy and burnt the grease ran all over my plate and soaked my bun. My husband 's fries were much nicer looking and didn 't leave his plate full of grease. This place is way over rated and expensive for the quality of food and service we received. Won 't be going back!
The atmosphere of the old train station is a great setting. The food and beer are some of the best in Berks County.
