Raj Tandoori - Reading

I had a delicious vegetable Dhansak with spicy flavors just as I asked for. The portions were generous and the service was fast and friendly. The chicken tikka masala and pathia dishes were also enjoyed, although some thought the chicken could have been juicier. This local curry house in Emmer Green is reasonably priced and offers a welcoming atmosphere.

We definitely won't be trying another Indian restaurant after discovering this hidden gem. The staff were welcoming, the tables were nicely set, and the food was consistently hot, delicious, and not greasy. It was also good value for money. The food did not meet our expectations. It seemed like it was not freshly made and was just average in taste. We would not order it again. However, the service was good.

My wife I have been eating from Raj Tandoori for some time. The quality of food is consistently high (excellent) and the best in the north Reading area. As well fantastic food we have also occasionally eaten in the restaurant where the service was first class. Consistent quality of food and great service with a very competitive price giving great value for money. Highly recommended.

This was perfect way to spend time while our EV was charging (although we’d added plenty of charge at the nearby Instavolt chargers before we’d finished popadoms! . Service was friendly and swift. Food was great and full of flavour. Beats a petrol station!
