The Cunning Man - Reading

This location was ideal, although a shout drive from downtown Reading, it was an amazing atmosphere Rolf a rural type pub. The food was good, the service great, traditional ambiance and food.

Menu has changed and new menu not as good as previous

The cozy atmosphere, pleasant ambiance, and outstanding service contributed to a positive dining experience. However, the food was just average—there were too many red peppers on the pizza, and the vegetables served with my fishcakes were overcooked.

Cunning Man used to be a restaurant we visited regularly as a family, but it went through a rough patch, and we stopped going for a few years. We decided to take a chance and return for a belated Mother's Day dinner, and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was fantastic, and the service was excellent, even though the place was quite busy. We'll definitely be returning more often!
