The Fisherman's Cottage - Reading

The pub was charming, and the lady who served us was exceptionally friendly, especially because she loves dogs. We ordered chicken wraps, which were decent, but they lacked flavor. There was too much plain lettuce without any dressing, and the chicken could have been more flavorful if it had a southern fried coating.

The location, ambiance, and scenery are wonderful. The food is decent but not exceptional. It's a bit expensive for the quality. However, I really liked the atmosphere and venue. The Latin music with Dominican bachata was inviting. It's dog-friendly and great for groups.

Lovely little find, just outside of the centre, on the river, watching people paddle boarding. Outside seating Back and front and Inside is attractive, lovely lighting and walk decs, small bar and restaurant. Loved the Brazilian music. All 4 of us had different dishes, ask big and delicious. Not in reading often but will go back when we are.

The friendly staff and delicious food make this restaurant a must-visit. Located next to the river, you can enjoy dining in a beautiful shaded garden on a sunny day. I will definitely be returning here again.

This is a dog friendly, cosy pub next to the locks in Reading. I went there to meet with new friends and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. I saw someone else devouring a bowl of loaded potato wedges, and couldn't resist ordering my own. They were divine! There are picnic tables at the front of the pub, along the waterside, and there is a patio out the back beautifully decorated with beachhut booths with outdoor heaters in each one. 4 dogs were spotted inside last night and I'll be taking my own dog next time.
