Wendy, managing the front of house, and Alan, leading the kitchen team, are true professionals in their roles. They supported us throughout the planning process, and the entire Shoulder of Mutton team exceeded our expectations in every way. We are so grateful for the opportunity to celebrate our special day in a way that allowed us to relax and enjoy without worrying about the logistics. I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant, and our guide was very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend it. Regarding wheelchair accessibility, they provided wheelchairs if needed. Price per person was £1–10, and the service and atmosphere were rated 4 out of 5.

We were fortunate to have the pub to ourselves on a sunny day, allowing us to enjoy the lovely garden as well. One last note: if you're deciding between The Crown and the Shoulder of Mutton, I highly recommend choosing the Shoulder. Our experience at The Crown was disappointing, and they didn’t seem to care about our concerns. The attentive service we received from the owner-operator at the Shoulder made a significant difference, and their food is far superior.
