We have alleviated it and it was still not good that we usually eat it the next...day, but instead wasted it. The ginger beef was good. Will not be back for a second attempt.
I have ordered the departure from here quite often, as they are normally open later than other Chinese restaurants. You have a few small tables to eat in the storefront, but very limited space. I ordered the combo dinner for one... and the staff on the phone was very accommodating when I wanted to replace a dish for ginger beef and she allowed me to pick up my order later than they would normally allow. The sauces taste as if they were from a can, but they did not have this time, so they seem to have changed the suppliers. Food is consistently good. I wouldn't say it was the best in town, but it will satisfy every late evening Chinese food cravings.
We had a pretty big takeover order that was okay. We had incubators, a chicken dish, a vegetable dish and a special roasted rice dish. There was a lot of food because the portions were generous. The quality if that wasn't great. The fried rice tasted burned, most dishes were beans and ginger beef, while tasty, was not tender.
We always get Chinese takeout from our favorite place in Red deer, the Phoenix Buffet. For some reason it was closed so we decided to try Canton Kitchen. We were very disappointed. The servings, in comparison, were extremely small. The vegetable dish was burnt and...none of it tasted that good! It was also very expensive and we got half what we usually get from Phoenix! Very disappointing!
We read reviews on all the Chinese takeout in town and decided on this place, we chose to pick it up and the lady that served us was friendly. We had the combination dinner for 4, excellent chicken balls, not over battered, lemon chicken was...really good and so was the sweet and sour pork, the Cantonese chicken chow mein was ok, just different than our usual. Overall it was pretty good.
