The Curry House is handling it well, taking extra care to be cautious and safe. And the cooks work extra hard to make the to-go food seem just as special as back when eating in was easy/normal, every dish is garnished. We're really glad we stopped- thank you
I lived in Jackson Heights, Queens for years which is known as 'the ' place to go for Indian food in NYC. I knew some Manhattan residents who would come to this Queens neighborhood specifically for the authentic Indian food. I relocated to this area years ago, and have been coming to Red Hook Curry House for as long as I can remember. I have never, ever, had a bad meal here. In fact, I would choose to eat here over any Jackson Heights restaurant that I 've eaten at. The food is that good. Several years ago I ate here with a student visiting from New Delhi. He said it was the best Indian food he had eaten while in America. The decor hasn 't changed, and can use some updating. The baskets they served the Naan in were old and looked like it was time for them to be replaced. But the food is still top notch. Take out is always great, but the food is even better when you dine in, and have it brought to your table hot from the kitchen. Go for the food as opposed to anything else and you shouldn 't be disappointed if you like Indian food.
Best Indian food around served and cooked by incredible people, we love to eat here!
I would love to give 5 star but the behavior of the old man in the front made me feel very awful. Anyway I would like inform you please try to be little more nicer.
Excellent. Fresh, well served. We go there often and it is consistent and delicious. The lamb korma, Tikka masala, shrimp biryani, salmon tandoori, are all so good. And if you can't finish, they give you rice in the take away box so that you have some for your leftovers.
