Bellbowrie Tavern - Redbank Plains

Recent meals at the Bellbowrie Tavern have been good. The blackboard specials are a change to the regular menu and have been good as well as reasonably priced. The duck last Friday was good along with the salmon. last night off the menu the barramundi was not too bad. Steak is done well. this establishment is a family venue. booking may be necessary. Couples seating is available. Ambience is casual and plain. Prices are reasonable.

What a joy to behold! Staff that actually engage with you and know how to have a joke!! The food is good, the beer does what it says on the tin! But most of all it's the atmosphere of the premises , which is purely due to the cheery and professional bar staff. I have worked in and ran many pubs/bars / restaurants across the world and this place is a great little find for a man like me who would be extremely critical of robotic staff. The efficient, yet calm and relaxed manner of the management team is to be commended, they operate with a quiet and calm ethos, yet, are more then willing to engage in customer banter when it's called for.The whole operation is a credit to the management team as their attitude and willingness to go the extra mile for their patrons permeates through to each of their staff members.It's a pleasure to watch sporting events in the tavern in such a safe relaxed yet fun environment.Keep doing what you are doing guys, we will be back for more!!!

I'm so glad we have this gem in bellbowrie. I usually pop down to feast on a schnitty with friends. The food is always yum and I'm loving the new menu... gnocchi !The manager is always so friendly and the staff make an effort to remember you so you feel the love.I went with a girlfriend to the recent band night and it was actually so fun! We had a blast and will deffs go to more events when they have them.

Being a local I was excited when this Tavern was built as the area had limited places for people to meet and enjoy a meal and drinks. Now after something like 4 years of operation my opinion of the Tavern is very disappointing. Initially the Tavern offered a friendly place to meet and was vibrant and friendly but something has changed......Mid week and some weekends the Tavern is like a ghost town, I am unsure where the patrons have gone but it is so quiet. It seems to me the only direction the Tavern management takes is the support of the dining and poker machine facilities. A walk up individual seeking simply a quiet drink and company is ignored. I must admit the chef, bistro staff try really hard to please but guidance and direction is lacking also the bar staff seem to have a prioritized task instruction with once again direction lacking. The turn over of staff seems to be a cancerous issue, some only lasting a shift or two. This small suburb in western Brisbane could be a mecca for a meeting/drinking establishment but obviously something in the make up of this place is missing. We would like to go back but not sure, there is some chemistry missing and not the place it used to be if only 4 years old.

A fairly typical Australian tavern with excellent food at good prices and a very family friendly atmosphere.
